Hi Manuel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Manuel Gamboa (3l monarca) a 23-year-old Colombian singer and composer (from Ibagué, the musical capital of Colombia) interpreter of urban music. I grew up in commune 13 of my city and from a very young beginning, I had a taste and passion for music. In my beginnings, I learned to play guitar on YouTube and sometime later I was given the opportunity to learn in an academy where we had presentations at recognized universities and salons in Ibagué; as a result of that I began to cover YouTube and have presentations in different recognized institutions in my city and shopping centers and even on the street, with the reception of the public I decided to take the first I had the opportunity to move to the United States where we take this project with professionalism and quality, these are some of the singles that are sounding in different countries: EL REENCUENTRO, ACTIVA and my last single QUIERO VERTE. You can find them on different music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, among others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Many people believe that the subject of music is something easy, but it has its ups and downs since it starts singing on the street and little by little, we continue to fight to move this project forward and thank God the project is on the right track, always with professionalism and perseverance.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer and composer of my songs; I am focused on urban music such as reggaeton and Latin trap. I began to make myself known in my hometown singing in different schools and important places; when I arrived in the United States, I had the opportunity to sing in different states such as Texas, Florida, Nevada, and Utah. I am proud of how my career goes from singing on the street to singing in recognized clubs in the USA. What sets me apart from other artists is my type of voice that is different, and the content of my lyrics are very personal and reach the public.
What were you like growing up?
I was always a very outgoing and dreamy child wanting to get ahead, very active and visionary.
