Life & Work with Niki Pearson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Niki Pearson.

Hi Niki, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was working as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines and headed into my 16th year when Covid hit. This changed the industry and the world but also created opportunities where there may have not been none before.

We were offered early retirement and with no plan and a leap of faith I took it. I was 37 and one chapter was ending I had no idea where I was headed but I promised to give myself till the beginning of the following year to find out.

In December of 2020, my mother called me asking had I ever heard about the children’s party buses in Atlanta and thought I should get into it and how it would be a good fit for me. She had a friend who mentored women on how to start their very own mobile party bus for girls and wanted us to talk.

We spoke for exactly one hour and after speaking to her I was sold. She gave me some general info and I began my search for a conversion company and that led to finding a bus and the rest is as you say history. After 7 months of prep, delays, sweat, and some tears I launched my business and hosted my first party in July 2021 and I have rolling ever since.

Since that time, we have hosted little cuties and their friends all over the Las Vegas Valley. When I started I never expected to be in this industry but even more so to be the first party bus for girls in LV is such an accomplishment.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road was definitely a difficult one for sure. The entrepreneurial world is new to me because I come from the workforce.

You work in every position and you are solely accountable if no one else can show up you still have to go and fulfill your commitment. The most difficult part however is the pay cut. People never share the struggle of financial loss that business owners take especially at the beginning of the journey.

Another struggle is just promoting yourself I find that getting yourself out there can be very challenging without resources.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are spa themed mobile party bus for girls ages 3-16 and a Kids Event planning Company. We specialize in birthday parties, kids’ picnics, slumber tent party set-ups, and mobile karaoke parties.

We are known for our quality party experience and being the first spa-themed party bus for girls in Las Vegas. I am most proud of the heart we put into our parties and the way the girls look when they come on the bus the reaction from the kids is why I do this. I truly am proud to do something I am passionate about.

Our company truly has a family vibe. My children work on the bus with me. They are involved with the parties and are very hands-on. My son is literally our ambassador to everybody we party with. My daughter helps with makeup stations and helps get the party started during our karaoke parties.

My niece also is my right hand who helps me with whatever I need. I am inspired by my children and that shows in what we do. When the kid’s party with us I treat them like family for the time we are with them.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
As I child I was very smart, funny, and clumsy because I was tall and skinny.

I was very talkative. I loved to learn new things. I loved learning from my elders and listening to their experiences and gaining wisdom. I was an old soul. I was very creative growing up always drawing, painting, and singing. I loved entertaining but was always very shy.

I also loved to swim as a child. My dream was always to use my creative talents but didn’t know what way to use them. I was also very compassionate to anyone the was less fortunate.
