Life & Work with Prenten Frazier of American Fork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Prenten Frazier.

Hi Prenten, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our Story began generations ago with the beekeeping trade, but we really got going in 2011 when my father retired. We wanted to develop a food security with a large-scale commercial operation. In the beginning, we identified honeyquality as one of our primary focuses and learned to produce very clean, high quality, honey better than available commercially, eventful we realized that we could continue to improve quality far beyond what we initially expected. Bottling honey that was better than backyard. Everything was very promising and sales were surpassing our ability to produce.

This last november, however, a mysterious fire destroyed our honey farm with over half a million dollars in honey alone. We are currently in the process of rebuilding. By it may take some time. The good news is we plan to build back better. The community has certainly voiced its support for quality products.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As I mentioned, a recent devastating fire that has left us reeling, struggling to recover.
Farming is always difficult and with beekeeping, it is especially difficult to make enough income to cover operation costs. Only the last three to five years proved we could do it.

Now we must begin again… from scratch.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Honey Farming specializing in the highest quality multi floral honey. We coined the term Cold Extract as it requires a step up from raw.

Raw honey is most always heated or warmed to some degree which we have shown damage quality. Raw honey often goes in plastic which also degrades quality over time. Raw honey can also be filtered which removes valuable essences.

Completely raw Cold Extract honey preserved honeys delicate nature also ensuring it retains all of its medicinal benefits.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
