Today we’d like to introduce you to Scenic Byway.
We’re so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Started in 2008. Tyler our lead singer, keyboard player and beat maker is the only original member. Been thru a multitude of iterations but now have the amazing lineup that is: Tyler Reese ( vocals keys drum machines ) Micah Alldredge (drums) Dave Crespo ( guitar ) Sergio Marticorena. As of today.. we just released a new record. We tour around the US and play lots of local shows. Planning a fall 2022 west coast tour. And we are currently working on our new album.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not really haha… had crazy success right from the get-go and then lost ourselves and lost members due to alcoholism, drug abuse, and by doing some Fleetwood Mac style interband relationships haha, we have had to make a lot of changes.. but currently are thriving!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a hip-hop band that’s actually genreless. We mix so many styles together that it’s hard to put us in a box. We specialize in smooth hip-hop flows over literally whatever the band wants to make.. known for bringing a party every time!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Have fun. Love what you do and the music will show it! Work hard, very hard, but don’t let it kill you. Create to inspire.
