Life & Work with Tyler Harris of Salt Lake City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Harris.

Hi Tyler, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am an Artist & Producer from SLC. Recording, Mixing and performing under the name future.exboyfriend as well as producing for Utah artists such as Beeson, Cherry, Maz & Ian Kirby. I started playing music when I was 11 and started my first “band” when I was 14. I started singing when I was 19 with my project Mojave Nomads, where I got experience writing, recording and touring.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No not at all haha. My first band Mojave Nomads, although we were gaining popularity locally we got signed to a label and then eventually shelved which kinda led to an indefinite hiatus with the band.
Having to start over musically the last few years has been pretty wild and eye opening.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
When i first started making music under future.exboyfriend is also when I first started producing music. In the last two years ive started producing for others as well as for myself. I’m probably known for my use of synths and my falsetto vocals.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Patience Consistency
Being like 2% crazy
