Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayne Warrington.
Hi Wayne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started my career in the Vegas Entertainment industry in 2013 as a strip club promoter for Hustler Gentlemen’s Club. From there, I began working with Exotic Limousines which is now Vegas VIP Limousines.
I met my buddy Bennie Munoz who mentored me through the beast of the nightlife industry for a few years. I then branched off and started my own Private Concierge company calling it Vegas Famous Concierge.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our industry goes up and down no different than anything else.
I’ve spent my time learning the Vegas “Strip”, meeting as many people as I could, and advertising my business. COVID hit and like millions, my company took a hit. Now we are back at our full strength with more resources than any other entertainment company and providing the best experiences available.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I assist people visiting Las Vegas by providing information/entertainment services, arranging itineraries, making reservations, and hosting clients in person to ensure their experience goes well.
Vegas Famous Concierge offers every type of entertainment service from private security to limousine services, nightclubs, Wakeboats, yachts, go-karts, gun ranges, helicopter tours, and more. We offer family fun, adrenaline fun, classy fun, and bachelor/bachelorette fun.
What I love most about my industry is when clients send me texts saying, “Last night was incredible, couldn’t have done it without you”, “that place was amazing, thank you for the help.” “We had such an unforgettable time, thank you so much for your help and resources.” Some people do it for the money, I choose this profession because I enjoy giving people great experiences and love seeing them have an incredible time.
The three things that separate my company from everyone else:
1. I’m a Vegas native and have been in the industry for 10 years. I know the city, the people, and the loopholes better than anyone.
2. When I make recommendations, since I don’t work for any specific entity, my opinion is unbiased. My client satisfaction is my priority, therefore I cultivate their experiences around their interests and nothing outside of that.
3. Vegas is a college, and the hotels are fraternities. You’re trying to get into the frat parties. I’m the mascot of that college. When you go through me, they are willing to do more for me than the average Joe off the street because they know me and know I have helped them for years. Essentially they are willing to make concessions for my clients that they wouldn’t ordinarily do if the same people addressed them directly.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
In my industry, you have to be driven, punctual, and transparent.
We are a 24-hour city, and the reservations and requests never stop. Someone in my industry needs to be able to handle that load. That means picking up that phone anytime it rings, day or night, 12 am or 1 pm. If you can’t keep up with the communication, you won’t make it.
Being punctual is vital because timing is everything here. Everything runs like a heartbeat, tourists come and they go.
They make reservations, then follow through. A lot of reservations have deadlines in order to receive the benefits.
You need to be disciplined enough to be on time and keep up with that heartbeat.
Vegas is known as being a “cutthroat” city with many “scammers”. Being transparent is important in order to make clients feel comfortable with making transactions and using your services. Clients often ask me, “What do you get out of this?”. I tell them, explain how the process works, that I don’t need to tax them, and what my role is in everything.
Vegas is a unique city with unique experiences and unique processes. Many people don’t believe or understand how things work unless I break the process down and explain it to them. And there’s nothing wrong with that, I would want the same thing if I was in their shoes.
