Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Urban
Hi Alex, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I dropped out of doing mortgages back in 2017 to pursue a career where I could work from my laptop anywhere in the world. This lead me into opening a digital marketing agency for local businesses.
After working with companies in Utah such as F45, and Complete Nutrition, I decided to expand upon my skills by opening up my own eCommerce based business.
I then moved to Arizona, Florida, California, and even Israel to work under a mentors for a few years where I ended up learning all the skills needed to successfully scale our online business and clients business to a combined total of $20,000,000 in online revenue generated between all of our projects.
I then moved back to Utah to take a position as CMO of an online apparel company named Lions Not Sheep, where I then helped scale that business from $0 – $19,600,000 in revenue in 3 years.
After my resignation from Lions Not Sheep, I opened a new marketing agency where I now work with multiple influencers, celebrities, and even politicians to help scale their online businesses.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has never been a smooth road. In fact, if I’ve learned anything its that… those who last the longest are those who will succeed.
Every day is a challenge. Every day there are obstacles. Every day there are new algorithm updates, policy updates, competitors, and other uncontrollable factors you need to learn to compete against with no “manual” or “guide” on how to do so.
From supply chain issues, advertising accounts getting shut down, continuously cost of goods rising, and a ever-increasing demand for peoples attention online, every day is a challenge.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My Ecommerce Based Marketing Agency specializes in the following:
– Building high converting online websites
– Running paid advertising campaigns
– Email/SMS marketing
– Content Creation
Collectively our team has spent over $5,000,000 on online advertising and generated our clients over $40,000,000 in tracked revenue, selling anything from Delta 9 THC gummies, to laundry soap, bbq, candles, dog toys, apparel, and pretty much any medium you can imagine.
We have never once publically advertised our business, and take pride in our clients finding us solely through word of mouth from successfully helping other business scale and crush their revenue goals.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I feel that online advertising is only going to continue to grow, but the barrier to entry is only getting significantly harder by the day.
We are absolutely seeing trends moving with peoples shopping behaviors especially when it comes to which platforms they’re buying on, and who they are buying from.
Having a “Ghost” CEO/Founder is starting effect businesses growth. People like to know whos running a brand, what do they believe in, what do they stand for, what core values do they represent, and we’ve seen a huge increase of customers following brand owners online to know what their dollars are truly supporting.
A “Business” is no longer a “brand”… A “Brand” now the sum of all it’s employees personal brands, combined with the actual business itself.
Personal brands are becoming more and more important by the day, and what you display publically can absolutely make or break your business.
