Meet Bailee Nebeker of Wallaroo’s Furniture and Mattresses

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bailee Nebeker.

Bailee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My partner in both life and business, Nathan Chetrit began selling “things” out of his garage in 2013 when he was in college at Gonzaga.

This eventually grew into selling Bloomingdale’s overstock mattresses and furniture. About two years into his project he had 2 storefronts and we met! I was in my first year of law school, and was so impressed by Nathan’s business acumen, determination, and focus!

I started consulting on the retail and design side of things and by the time I was done with law school, I was ready to put all of my energy into what is now Wallaroo’s. Since then, we have committed to designing and manufacturing our own furniture and have built a brand with a cult following! We have 12 brick-and-mortar locations and an online retail presence!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
25% tariff on imports from China with 30+ containers of furniture on the water Covid change of sales leadership, parting ways with people who were no longer fit. Hiring in a post covid world.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in providing the best furniture value in the world. Our designs are exclusive to us, and you cannot get them anywhere else. We build our furniture with our client’s life and real needs in mind. We are not pushy and we want the experience of shopping for furniture and mattresses fun and cool.

Our furniture is very high quality. We do not make furniture you are going to have to replace in a couple of years; you may want to because your design style or needs have changed, but not because it’s falling apart! We take sustainability and care for our customers seriously.

We are usually a few years ahead of design and really connect with a youthful, fun clientele.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
Nathan Chetrit the founder and my partner in life and business deserves all of the credit. He has fearlessly led this company through so much unknown.

He is a wizard with a spreadsheet and the most focused, steadfast human on the planet. Wallaroos have had countless team members who have propelled the business forward. Our Marketing Team is especially unique and skilled. There are so many people without whom wallaroos would not be what it is today.
