Today we’d like to introduce you to Bob Coleman.
Who is Bob Coleman and how did he get to where he is today?
A native of St. George, Utah, Bob’s journey to becoming a nationally recognized Financial Educator, Author, and Non-Traditional Financial Strategist didn’t start with wealth or privilege. He grew up in a small-town household where love was abundant but money was often tight. Like many, he inherited traditional beliefs about money, ideas rooted in scarcity and survival.
But Bob’s dad planted a different kind of seed. A student of personal development legends like Zig Ziglar and Napoleon Hill, Bob’s father introduced him early to mindset principles that would shape his future. Those lessons lit a spark in Bob that’s never gone out.
Early in his career, Bob earned national recognition while still in college, being recruited by one of the largest fee-based financial firms in the Intermountain West. But it wasn’t long before he realized that traditional financial planning didn’t have all the answers, especially for business owners and families looking for smarter, more strategic solutions.
That realization led to the founding of Non-Traditional Financial Solutions (NTFS). Today, Bob and his team work with successful entrepreneurs, high-net-worth families, charitable organizations, and CPAs, helping them minimize taxes, build wealth, and protect their financial future using alternative, non-traditional strategies.
What sets Bob apart isn’t just his experience, it’s his relentless drive to challenge conventional financial thinking. Frustrated by how traditional firms often offer cookie-cutter solutions, Bob built NTFS around a different philosophy: every client’s situation is unique and deserves a custom strategy. Whether it’s helping a business owner reduce taxes, guiding a family toward safer alternative investments, or assisting nonprofits in growing their endowments, Bob’s approach is always personal, innovative, and results-driven. Bob remains deeply connected to his roots in St. George. He is an active father and grandfather, a lifelong learner, and an enthusiast for outdoor adventures, music, theater, and community involvement. One of the greatest honors for Bob came last year when his son asked if he could join his team and work with him. His son Dillan works with Bob as his Director of Operations at NTFS. There is nothing Bob loves more than getting to spend time with his family and his partner Wendy.
For Bob, it has always been about more than money. It’s about freedom, legacy, and creating a life on your own terms.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges Bob has had to overcome?
Probably the biggest obstacle and challenge was for Bob to overcome his own money programing and conditioning and now to help clients overcome their own. Another challenge has been dealing with a very archaic, self serving, and close minded traditional industry.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Non-Traditional Financial Solutions was created by Bob Coleman. Bob has been in the Financial Industry for more than 2 decades. Bob saw first hand how much traditional financial planning can fall short for clients. “Traditional Advisors” have a specific set of offerings that they can offer to their clients. Bob has intentionally created a different kind of business model allowing him to break the mold and offer clients solutions they have never heard of or seen before, showing clients a whole new world they have never been introduced to. At NTFS we are specialists in alternative investments and tax strategies. An intentional point of differentiation is our work that we do with a client’s CPA partnering to implement tax minimization strategies. Something we are most proud of with our brand is also what we are most known for. We have a system that is being trademarked called “The Prosperity Code.” This system is “a proven predictable process for designing the prosperous life and financial abundance a client desires.” This system is a revolutionary experience for clients, one they have never experienced before.
