Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Haddock.
Hi Cassie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My husband and I started our flower farm in 2022 after we moved to the rural, artsy town of Spring City, Utah. When we bought our home, it had this beautifully landscaped yard, and my husband looked around and said, “What are we going to do with all of this?” I hadn’t really been into flowers before, but my grandma always had the most stunning flower gardens, and something about this place made me want to carry that on for her.
At the time, I was in the thick of raising our five kids—lots of laundry, dishes, and just the everyday chaos. I remember feeling a little lost in it all. My husband encouraged me to find something that was just mine, something I could grow and feel proud of outside of being a mom. I didn’t want to sell crafts or fill the house with inventory. I wanted something active, something outdoors, and something the kids could be part of too.
That’s when I started seeing flower farms pop up on social media. They looked beautiful, and I thought, “Why not?” I had never grown a single flower before—truly no clue what I was doing.
And honestly, I’m still not someone who’s obsessed with flowers. But I do love the joy they bring. I love how a simple bouquet can brighten someone’s day. I love when neighbors stop to chat while I’m out working or when the kids are laughing and playing around the farm.
So I just started. With no experience, just a whole lot of heart. And somehow, over time, with a lot of hard work (and plenty of mistakes), we’ve built this little flower farm that feels like home.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
That first year, I spent hundreds of dollars on seeds without doing any research. I didn’t even realize some of the varieties I bought weren’t meant for cut flowers. I started thousands of seeds in trays in front of my windows, thinking that was enough. I had no idea seedlings had needs. Things like airflow, grow lights, just the right amount of water, and constant care. Needless to say, it was a total flop.
The results of thousands of seeds planted? Three sunflowers, two zinnias, and one lonely cosmo. I’ve definitely killed more flowers than I’ve successfully grown. But every failure has taught me something, and we just keep learning and growing each year. My husband joked last year, “Who knew there were so many ways to kill a flower between the time you start the seed to the time it blooms?”—and he’s not wrong.
We’re farming with nature, and that means no two seaons are ever the same. Weather is unpredictable, and pests can wipe out a whole crop in what feels like minutes. Grasshoppers, birds, and even rabbits and deer have caused damage—one year, deer took out my entire lily patch overnight. It’s a constant pivot game. You really do have to have thick skin to be a flower farmer. But if you can stick with it, the small wins feel huge—and they keep you going.
As you know, we’re big fans of Twined With Rosemary. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Our flower farm is rooted in community as much as it is in flowers. Yes, we grow beautiful blooms—but what really sets us apart is the people this little farm draws in. I absolutely love chatting with customers who come to cut their own flowers, hearing their stories, and connecting with neighbors who swing by just to help me weed or say hello. It’s more than flowers—it’s a place where people feel welcome and part of something.
We were actually the first flower farm in Sanpete County to offer a you-pick flower experience, and that’s still the heart of what we do. This upcoming season, we’re putting even more focus on you-pick events, and we’re especially excited to be hosting our very first Sunflower Festival! It’s going to be such a fun way to bring the community together, and we’d love for you to be part of it. You can find all the details on our website or by following us on social media.
At the end of the day, I’m most proud that our brand isn’t just about selling flowers—it’s about creating a space that brings joy, connection, and beauty to everyday life.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy? Honestly, it’s the simple, quiet moments. Watching my kids run barefoot through the flower rows, hearing laughter while we’re all outside working together, or seeing someone’s face light up when they pick their own bouquet—that’s the good stuff. I love knowing that the hard work we’re putting into this farm is creating something meaningful, not just for our family, but for our whole community.
It makes me happy to see people slow down here. To breathe a little deeper, connect with nature, and maybe with each other. It’s not perfect or polished, but it’s real—and that’s where the joy is for me.
