Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristian Martinez.
Hi Cristian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My name is Cristian Martinez, Me and my family are originally from Veracruz, Mexico. I am 25 years old and grew up in Utah with my family.
My father had a business in Mexico and he would wake me and my sister up at 3 am at a young age and take us with him to see how his business worked on Saturdays. At the age of 15, I already knew I wanted to follow my dad’s steps in having my own business one day.
It all started because I did not want to continue working for someone else, knowing that me and my family are capable of starting a business. We decided to start our own family business. To start any kind of business, you have to be strong-minded and confident about yourself and your decisions. Because sadly a lot of people who surround you are comfortable and will try to discourage you.
Leaving your comfort zone will always be a challenge because it can be scary. But in the end, it will help you grow and you will improve as a person. We created an Instagram account so our work could be available to anyone. We designed and created our business cards.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing comes easy, there have been challenges and obstacles.
Starting as a new business the challenge for us was to create clientele. Hiring and training workers, we also have had great competition and have dealt with financial challenges.
However, we have learned to face different challenges and do better.
