Meet Daryl Bennett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daryl Bennett.

Hi Daryl, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Becoming a wedding DJ was never planned; it was love at first sight.

My father is a musician, and he got me playing music since I was 3 years old. I started on the drum set and learned piano and guitar. It was always my dream to play in a rocking band. I was involved in various projects during high school and started my first serious band in 2013. We started out writing original content, but eventually found success in being a party cover band. We played weddings, parties, and even had some residencies with local clubs. I found that I loved performing and loved bringing the party to celebrations.

One of my bandmates was also a DJ and invited me to help him on a gig. It opened a whole new world for me. I was able to be more creative with my performances, and perform more often. ADM Productions was born shortly after.

Since then, I’ve been laboring tirelessly to make Utah’s weddings and events fun. We’ve expanded to have a line-up of talented DJs and fun photo booths.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The COVID lockdowns during 2020 have been a difficult time for everyone in the event industry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Our style is to organically create an upbeat atmosphere that will inevitably lead to people singing and waving their hands in the air. Part of that is reading the dance floor and using quick mixing to keep the energy high. I program custom light shows that sync to the music, helping keep the environment classy and energetic; my shows have garnered attention on YouTube.

I also speak Spanish and love Latin music!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always been an extrovert, wanting to explore and experience the world. I loved going to concerts with my friends. I loved writing, playing, and producing music. I produced 100 songs in high school. One of my songs helped my high-school band win the Bingham Battle of the Bands 2009. I also participated in chess tournaments.
