Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Quiroz.
Hi Diego, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello my name is Diego owner of Valencias_visions. Born in Nogales Sonora, raised in Phoenix Az. I started in 2020 with zero experience in photography or videography. A good friend of mine who I met in the bank Luismilan was a few years into his photography and videography business. We met one day and he mentioned to me how he’s super busy and needed a lot of help. I quickly applied for a Best Buy credit card and bought my first camera and lens. And it was during the pandemic, so everything shut down, and it was one of the worst times to start a business. But in a pandemic or crisis is where entrepreneurs are born. My mentor and friend Luis continued to take me to weddings out of state and different events until eventually I was able to branch off on my own. The with in a few years I was able to attend my first red carpet for “The kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” and also I got the opportunity to film a global super star in his tour titled “Bailemos otra vez” this is of course Chayanne and awesome experience. In addition I got to film an episode of “The download by Justin Laboy” where he interviewed Kevin Durant. I am greatly thankful for these experience and excited for more to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Obstacles and struggles include camera gear, inexperienced for certain gigs or opportunities. Very few challenges or obstacles. One main one was being a DACA recipient, I couldn’t accept jobs outside the United States.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am known for creating beautiful wedding films. Weddings are my bread and butter. I specialize in content creation for one of Arizonas realtors. I’m known for helping businesses take their social media content to the next level. I love to show business and have them share their stories. I’m most proud of my accomplishments in the concert industry. I got to film global super star Chayanne in Tucson and Phoenix. In addition I got to be apart of red carpet for the movie plant of the apes.
What matters most to you?
What matters to me most is my family, my wife, my friends and my church ministry. And my business, and clients as well. I care for these things because they will always be there for me.
