Today we’d like to introduce you to Fio Wallentine.
Fio, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story starts with a mother from Ecuador migrating to the states 30 years ago for a better future for her children!
She has 3 kids! Me Fio my sister Lolita and my brother Victor who married his wife Caroline. My mom always encouraged us to follow our dreams just like she did! So I decided to model here in Utah for the last 2 years, my sister dreamed of owning a clothing store and my sister-in-law worked in the fashion industry for years!
All of our dreams matched up to create something beautiful, something that Utah didn’t have yet! That’s when we three sisters decided to follow our dreams and open up our own Clothing store “SUNDAY RIOT”. It’s been about 5 months and has been amazing!
With 3,000+ riot babes on Instagram and TikTok and selling us out on multiple collections, interviews on live TV, pop-up markets in various locations, and more! It’s been a dream come true and we can’t wait to see where Sunday Riot will be in the next 5 years! It’s been amazing meeting our Riot babes, none of it would be possible without them!
We love you all!!
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not! Finding your own groove when you own a business is a little tough, knowing when is a lifetime or when it’s work time.
Because most of the time your brain is always thinking about what you can do to better your company or help your customers! So it gets a little tough at times but other than that it’s truly great!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Sunday Riot is a women-owned clothing business, we sell a variety of clothing such as dresses, tops, and pants, and our most viral piece is our Bodysuits! The top trending items that company Aritiza started were amazing, but we noticed are Utah babes that wanted more of a modest look couldn’t follow that trend!
So we curated bodysuits that were stylish yet worked with their modesty, and sold us out pretty quickly! The moral of that story was we wanted a store available for EVERYONE!
We specialize in making women feel confident in who they already are and am so proud to help women around Utah and the world feel their inner beauty and let it shine through fashion
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
To think of the next 5-10 years is such a thrill! Fashion is forever evolving and changing and instead of chasing it, I hope we stay true to ourselves and what we love and if we have pride in our products others will love them too!
Big changes would be opening a storefront, seeing our products on runways, time square billboards, and hopefully changing the fashion industry for the better!
