Meet Gabe Ray of Evolved Commerce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabe Ray.

Hi Gabe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My passion for selling products started while in college in Idaho where I learned how to flip products online while paying my way through school. From there, I started building websites and focused on SEO and branding tactics to build a sustainable dropship and reseller website that was a side hustle while I found my 9-5. In the corporate world, I was a partner manager and product specialist for several SEO and marketing agencies before partnering up with Evolved Commerce and helping head up the sales and marketing efforts as the Chief Revenue Officer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
By no means has it been a smooth road but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I look at those bumps in the road as an opportunity to learn, adjust and adapt to whatever situation life throws at us. A good example of this was in one of my early positions with an SEO agency, I was promised all kinds of promotions, raises, and other perks to the job if I could hit certain metrics within a given year. I managed to achieve those goals placed before me but when it came time for my evaluation, I got a small bonus and was told the other promises could not be kept. That led me to look for something new that allowed me to take more control of my own success and progress in life and has been one of the best decisions I ever made.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Starting in 2012, we began sourcing and selling our own products on Amazon. After gaining experience selling in a variety of categories and finding out what works, we started helping other brands. Within a year, our focus began to shift as more companies sought our help to promote and sell products on Amazon.
