Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Allen and Colby Clemet. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Colby Clement grew up in California and has always loved parties and get-togethers. When he went to college in Southern Idaho he learned about bumper balls. A protective plastic ball that makes any game 10x the fun. When he transferred down to Utah Tech University for school and decided Bumper Balls rentals would be a great addition to southern Utah’s fun, active, lifestyle. Colby is naturally a party planner so this business seemed like a no-brainer. Not sure how to get the word out about his new business he met Hannah Allen.
Hannah Allen is a Utah native and Gold Star widow. She took a break from school after her husband died but when she went back she decided to take some business classes. When she met Colby in her marketing class and learned of his newly formed business she thought it was wonderful! Together they have teamed up to spread the word. Still, in the growing phase, they hope to become a staple at every big event and party in town.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No smooth sailing here. It definitely takes a lot of work to get a new business off the ground and running. When Colby got started all by himself last fall he quickly realized he wasn’t the best at telling people about his new business.
Hannah on the other hand doesn’t mind talking to people at all. However, both are full-time students so that adds its own set of challenges as well. But both are hopeful and setting systems in place that should set Southern Utah Bumper Balls up for success.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a party rental company specializing in bumper balls. Bumper balls allow you to play all your favorite childhood games but with a twist. You are surrounded by a protective bubble! When you go to kick the soccer ball you may just collide with another player, sending you both flying through the air, to then bounce playfully on the ground.
You can play soccer, musical chairs, and many more games. We set up, help run the games, and take down, so all you have to worry about is having fun. Perfect for big events and family gatherings! Bumper balls are like a bounce house but for adults and teenagers.

Love that it’s an active community! People come here from all around the world to participate in events and shows.
The universities are both spectacular and have a fun student life. Love it that this area has a small-town feel with big energy. At least like that, there is a big climb from Saint George to Cedar City. It is a gas gobbler.
