Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our story doesn’t start with a business plan it starts with our friendship. We have always loved to do life together. We’ve shared just about everything over the years. Family vacations, girls trips full of shopping and endless laughter, to weddings, funerals, and baby showers. We have always just loved doing life together and now this beautiful dream called Deeply Rooted Plant Co.
When the idea for Deeply Rooted first came up, it wasn’t really about starting a business. It was about creating a space that felt like us. We wanted a place that people could slow down, feel inspired, and reconnect with what really matters. A place that was full of beauty, warmth, faith, and of course plants. The name Deeply Rooted came from bing grounded in love, family, friendship, and God.
Looking back over the last year, its amazing how far we’ve come. We’ve poured our hearts into this shop, every plant , every shelf, and more important every smile that walks through the door means so much to us. What started as a little dream among friends has grown into something so much bigger. A community, a gathering place, and a reflection of what we hold dear.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not! We learn something new each day, and sometimes those lessons are hard. Dreaming up a cozy little shop and even building that shop was one thing but then we had to learn how to actually run a business. There were for sure days we laughed until we cried- and days we just cried because it felt like we were in over our heads. Even moments when we wondered if we’d made a mistake. We found out building something beautiful costs more than just money, it takes time, sacrifice, and a lot of faith. Every decision felt like a mix of excitement and risk. From painting the walls and second-guessing budgets, building displays late into the night, and praying it would all come together. We didn’t know the first thing about barcodes, inventory systems, or point-of-sale setups. We were googling everything, watching tutorials, and learning as we went.

At Deeply Rooted Plant Co. we pride ourselves on healthy, beautiful, and budget friendly plants. For us it’s not just about selling plants its about sharing something we love. We believe plants bring life to any space and that there is always a plant for that. We also love helping people learn. Our shop is a place where you can ask questions, get advice, and leave knowing how to help your new plant thrive. We want everyone, even those who’ve never owned a plant before to feel confident and excited to care for something living.
