Meet Karly Bunderson of Happy Hour Utah

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Karly Bunderson.

Karly Bunderson

Hi Karly, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been working as a bartender on and off for about five years now. I’ve always loved the energy and atmosphere working behind the bar. You are helping people have a fun night, making memories. The first time I saw a mobile bar was on TikTok. I was immediately hooked and watched all the videos I could find on mobile bartending.

I knew I had to start my own mobile bartending business, and I started the process that same day. I didn’t really know what I was doing, but I kept moving forward, doing research, and putting myself out there on social media, and so far, it’s paid off! It’s been so much fun, and I can’t wait to turn people’s events into a real party.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
My first obstacle was actually having people book me. Who wants to hire a mobile bartending business with no experience?

I leaned on the experience I do have as an actual bartender and I always come across confident, because I truly know I bring the best open bar as far as customer service and quality of drinks. So being confident in myself and making sure that is portrayed on social media is how I have gotten through that obstacle.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Happy Hour Utah?
What sets me apart from others is I know what turns a regular event into a party. Good drinks and a good bartender. I want people to have fun!

What sets me apart from others is I know what turns a regular event into a party. Good drinks and a good bartender. I genuinely want to make your event unforgettable. I want people to know that when they book me, all of their drink worries are taken care of. It’s been so much fun starting my own business, and I can’t wait to be at more events this year.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is playing fastpitch softball and going to tournaments every weekend in the summer.

We were really competitive at a young age. We would win most of the tournaments, always playing the championship game under the lights with a full crowd. I didn’t want to be doing anything else.

Competitive team sports really shaped me into who I am today.
