Hi Kekai, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when I was 9 in Hawaii with my grandma! We used to make these things called ice cups which is just a popsicle in a cup. I thought it would be a great idea to put it in a popsicle bag and start selling them. So that’s what I did. I started selling them at my brothers football games in a cooler and we grew from there eventually getting a food truck trailer!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never an easy road, many hardships and struggles came when I started it such as sourcing of ingredients, meeting new people, & filling orders. But it’s all brought me to where I am today.

Kai pops is different from anything you will ever try, they are creamy, unique tropical flavors and most importantly delicious! Something that I am most proud of was that I started this business when I was just 9. Kai pops is a way for me to bring a little bit of the Hawaiian culture to everybody that tries it.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Family, without my family I wouldn’t be where I am today. Starting with my Grandma teaching me her recipe, then my parents supporting me and helping me throughout the whole way. I wouldn’t be where I am without them!
