Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelley Rosequist.
Hi Kelley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Our story started 43 years ago with John Mestas. John got his start with hunting and field trials and spent many years competing and coaching in these areas as well. As John got more and more requests from his competition clients to train their pets he realized that there was a real demand for obedience training and shifted his model to what it is today.
It was always important to us that our clients and their dogs had the absolute best recipe for success, so we started our in-home training model. Our family is incredibly passionate about training and bettering our communities and we believe this is possible through improving the relationships of dogs and their owners.
We have continued to add to these programs and opportunities through Therapy and Service Dog Training Programs.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
While there have certainly been some learning curves, we have been very fortunate that the pet industry remains strong.
We’ve been impressed with Dog Training Elite, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dog Training Elite is a people-first dog training company. This means that everything we do is centered around the owner’s experience because we know that having them involved is instrumental to their dog’s success. I am most proud of our Service Dog Training Programs. How incredible is it that we get to change/save lives every day through Service Dog Training?!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Follow your passion. While we are constantly learning and growing our business, we have let our passion drive our process and I think that really shines through in our culture. our services, and our team.
