Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie Joyce
Hi Kylie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started posting tik toks for fun and went viral in 2020 and gained 75,000 followers and was offered my first collaboration in 2021. I slowly gained more experience promoting companies’ products and made more money to the point where it became a part time job for me. The products I mainly post with are women’s fashion and beauty.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve definitely struggled with criticism not only online but with people around me. I just never stopped posting and tried not to listen to them and I’m glad I did. I tell myself I’ll never be criticized by someone doing more than I am, and I delete hate comments.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I get paid by businesses to promote their products on my social page to my followers. They email me an offer and I negotiate with them and send them my rates, analytics, and experience. They send me their products and video requirements and I’ll review their product on my tik tok page and they send me a payment. My audience is mostly women in their 20’s, so I mainly post fashion hauls and beauty products. I’m most proud of learning to do it all on my own, the negotiating, filming, and editing. I think most influencers do it full time but I work 2 other jobs as a nanny and a tumbling coach, which makes me proud of myself for sticking to it.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I’m currently pursuing more modeling jobs in the utah county area and would love to pursue that area of work as well. I’m also posting more on youtube and could see myself getting a few brand deals for that platform. I also see myself starting a family in 5-10 years, so I could potentially start posting about what being a mom is like while also taking a step back to take care of my kids.
