Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Jeffers.
Hi Lexi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as an inspiring hairstylist when I was a little girl, and it was a career I knew that I always wanted to get into. The opportunity to do an apprenticeship came to me when I was eighteen, and was I so excited to embark on this journey. My apprenticeship was under Matthew Landis, and we worked side by side with each other for a little over five years. I’m currently working on 9th and 9th in Salt Lake City, Utah at Be Salon, and loving my journey of being able to create and help women feel their most beautiful, authentic selves.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel that my journey has been an almost smooth road, with only a few bumps along the way, but nothing I wasn’t able to overcome with the help of my mentor Matthew and my family and friends’ support. The challenges I’ve experienced along my journey have been learning to be okay with failing, as failures are just as important as the wins, and learning to say no. We all need the ability to set healthy boundaries.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a hairstylist that specializes in lived in blonde and bronde. I chose to specialize in this because I love that natural approach to hair color, and enhancing each individuals beautiful color rather than completely changing it.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lessons I’ve learned along my journey thus far have been to be confident and to trust the process of failure.
