Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Nielsen.
Hi Lindsey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So, I am a creator, generator, and artist. My passion is to do just that. I have loved being able to make things that are unique and make people feel good. I am a mom who works full-time but wanted to have a creative outlet that was conducive to my kid’s schedule, but also still afforded me the ability to do something fun.
I have always loved hosting and making each event have my special touch. When I decided I wanted to broaden my hosting skills into creating custom balloon decorations, it was a natural progression. Art to me is all-encompassing and so, I decided why not throw in making super cute balloon garlands or arches into the mix.
I am still honing my skills, but honestly, I am proud of myself for the ability I have been able to create on my own. I have been doing them for about a year, and I am excited to see the growth potential!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had a few bumps along the way, to be honest. I have gotten last-minute cancellations, no responses, you name it. That is where I have been able to decide what will be worth my time and effort and what will not be.
I have created a process to ensure my time is respected and in turn, it does make my customers understand they have a professional they can rely on. What sets me apart is my work ethic, which has been instilled in me at such a young age.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a corporate salesperson, which I am great at. It fulfills the monetary needs I have for day-to-day living.
However, it is a single facet of who I am as a person. I work hard and do well in my professional life, but like so many I want more. So, I created this side hustle and it has been going well for me. I am able to utilize my creative flow to put together something that means something to other people.
I get to use my skills in a lot of different ways with a unique flare that is all my own!
What’s next?
I always am excited about the future. I am constantly thinking of where growth opportunities are, who I can network with, and what I am able to incorporate into what I do to make it better.
I would love to have more from what started as a side hustle develop into a brand which people know and recognize to use for their special events! I want to be the go-to for the Salt Lake Valley when it comes to the extra flare at their events!
