Meet Morgan Bronson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Bronson.

Hi Morgan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Orem, Utah in 1993 and am the oldest of 7 children. I was homeschooled and artistic from birth and I have loved art my whole life. I grew up very religious with my family and for the most part, we had an amazing childhood. I worked as an artist at various jobs until I went to college. I came home on the weekend one semester, and my parents shocked us all when they told us they were leaving our lifelong religion. I really started to question who I was and what I wanted. I met my husband and later we also left the religion. I started my own business in 2020 after quitting my job as a graphic designer. I started doing murals and have loved it! I have had a few crazy life turns, but Art and design have always been there for me and I love what I do!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Discovering that my religion wasn’t what it had claimed to be was very hard. It’s still hard to grapple with sometimes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love painting BIG. I love illustrative work and painting really fun things for kids especially. I am known for being very liquid in the artistic realm because of my longing to try every medium!
At 15 years old, I found mural painting while working at Scera Center for the Arts in Orem, Utah. I was hired as their set painter. When you’re painting huge sets for plays, it’s very easy to get intimidated by the amount of surface area that needs to be painted! But it really helped my confidence and has helped me take on bigger and bigger jobs. What sets me apart is my design background and the ability to problem-solve on the job. It’s tough painting big sometimes!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I grew up next to my Grandparents and they had land and gardens that I lived in every day. I loved being homeschooled for that reason. I could spend all day outside with my siblings, picking veggies and fruit and drawing and it was wonderful.
