OUR HISTORY…

Serendipity Boutique was originally the Nearly Nu Shoppe, which was opened by Louise May in 1973. It has been a staple for Boise consignment clothing ever since.

In 2013, it was purchased by Nadine Nicolayeff and soon became Serendipity Boutique. The name Serendipity was chosen because of its charming meaning: To find an unexpected treasure.

This name is fitting because with consignment shopping you truly never know what treasures you may come across!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Looking back there have been some tiny bumps in the road! But we have overcome and evolved into something special. We pride ourselves on being a safe and accepting place for our community and everyone who walks through our doors.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
What works best for us in reaching out to like-minded small businesses in our area? Also collaborating on events and projects.
