Meet Natalia Lucero of LuceritoLovesClay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalia Lucero.

Natalia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well, it all began when my sister gifted me for Christmas 2021 a polymer clay jewelry-making kit. She knows I love to create art so I took that as a challenge since I love learning anything new art wise and I just started making jewelry for fun. My family and friends soon started loving my work so they asked me if I was selling the jewelry. From then on I created an Etsy account and started going to art festivals to branch out and see who else would fall in love with my designs. I have loved all the support and have loved how much many people have loved my work. I can’t thank my husband enough for being my number one supporter since the beginning. It’s been a roller coaster and I am not getting off this ride anytime soon.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road to say the least I have faced a couple of obstacles. My Etsy account has been on the slow side of things. I don’t get a lot of bites on Etsy, but close friends and family do tend to support me more which I appreciate very much. I’m not doing this full time, but I do one day would love to just dedicate my full attention to my business. Until then I will dedicate The appropriate time I need to make this successful and a very fun and happy experience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in jewelry design and creating one of a kind pieces that fit your everyday needs or for any special occasion. I also specialize in hypoallergenic earrings so that even those with super sensitive ears can wear my jewelry. I feel that what I’m known for is that super unique design or a specific type of jewelry design. In other words, if you want a custom piece you want a custom piece all you have to tell me is what you’re looking for and I can give you a rough draft and create. I feel what sets me apart from other brands is my self-confidence in myself and in my work. I feel like I always go above and beyond on each piece I make as if I were making it for myself. I make all my pieces with 100% attention and love and I always have fun creating them. What I’m most proud of is my logo It’s not only unique it’s something that my cousin curry created just for me and my business and it means the world to me. Just the thought of the world will know my jewelry just by looking at my logo. I want the readers to know that there is nothing I can’t accomplish whether it is something custom for a loved one or by just ordering something online in my shop know that I give it my all and you will not be disappointed.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My number one supporter would be my little sister Elizabeth for without her I would have never started my adventure with polymer clay. My number two would be my husband Gerardo who supports me not only financially he helps me in other ways as well. Either by helping to take inventory or helping me load up for art festivals or just helping me to remind myself that it’s okay to take a break once in a while. He is my rock my everything and without him, I don’t think I would have gone this far. I would also like to give credit to one of my closest friends also like a sister Desiree who has recently helped me as a teammate. On those late summer days when I have an upcoming event and need an extra pair of hands to help me finish my goal. I also want to give credit to my supporters my clients my family my friends who have been there for me either by rooting for me being a Cheerleader or actually loving my creations and buying some from me which I am very much appreciative I want to thank everyone one of you who has been there for me know that it means the world to me.
