Meet Ryder Olsen of Modwella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryder Olsen.

Ryder, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We started out with a vision to bring modern, professional healthcare to peoples’ homes. I am an emergency medicine physician and I had seen so many people utilizing the ER for a variety of conditions that could easily be managed in the comfort of their own homes.

Using the ER is expensive even with insurance, so this was also a very motivating factor for us. Jake, my cousin, was an RN who brought the idea to me and my wife, Josilyn, who was also very passionate about public health as this was her major at UVU.

We initially thought this was going to be a small, locally owned business here in Utah County, but over the past 18 months, we have grown throughout Utah, Idaho, and Texas. We are also opening in Arizona and California this fall. We have a passion for preventative healthcare and we encourage our clients to take their health into their own hands. We now have 40 nurses in Utah and love giving them an opportunity to work outside of the hospital.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, and we have learned so much along the way. Our biggest struggles so far have been named change, rapid growth, and maintaining a professional medical service under a mobile platform.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Modwella?
Modwella is a mobile IV and lab service. We offer IV cocktails for both medical and preventative issues. We pride ourselves on being a very flexible, efficient, and professional medical service. We love helping others in need and allow them to take advantage of our services in the comfort of their own home.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
Overall, this company depends on amazing nurses and they deserve so much of the credit. Each of our “Team Leads” manage a specific area in Utah and their names are Megan Wilson, Kylie Herrmann, Maddy Vanlangeveld, and Lexi Lyon.

Pricing:

  • IV services $99-219
  • Lab panels $249
