Meet Saskia Stallings of Enlightened Counseling Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saskia Stallings.

Hi Saskia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out as an intuitive healer, speaker, and mentor. I’ve always been deeply connected to the emotional and energetic world, and passionate about helping people come home to themselves.

One day while driving, I felt a clear download.
It was simple and strong.
Go back to school.

At that point, I had closed the door on that dream. After having seven kids, going back for my Master’s felt far out of reach. But the message was undeniable.

I went home and looked up local MSW programs. The very next day, my grandfather — who I hadn’t spoken to in years — called out of the blue. He told me he was passing through town and wanted to stop by. When he arrived, he shared that he had money saved to help his grandchildren go to college.

I knew right then this was meant to be.

I went back to school, earned my Master of Social Work, and became a fully licensed LCSW. When I was ready to expand, I opened Enlightened Counseling Services, my private therapy practice. As soon as I could supervise and support other clinicians, I did. I wanted to bring something different to St. George. A space where healing felt like coming home. Where people could feel deep acceptance, unconditional love, and a gentler way of being supported.

That same heart and mission led me to create my second business, Saskia Stallings. Through that work, I support neurodivergent women — especially those with ADHD — through intuitive coaching, group programs, and nervous system healing.

Whether I’m holding space clinically or coaching in community, my work is about one thing.
Helping people feel powerful in their uniqueness. And wildly safe to be themselves.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. But every challenge shaped me into the woman and therapist I am today.

When I went back to school, we were in a tough spot financially. My husband had a temporary job that paid next to nothing. I had five children at home, and my youngest had just started kindergarten.

The Master’s program I enrolled in was only a year long, but it was incredibly intense. I had full days and nights of classes, plus internship hours. My eyes began to strain from all the reading and screen time, and I ended up needing glasses. I was stretched in every direction, and yet I kept going.

Leaving my children each day was never easy. As a mother, that part always pulls at your heart. There were many moments when I questioned if I was doing the right thing. But I knew I was creating something that would change our lives — not just mine, but theirs too.

In the middle of all that, something shifted. We were able to purchase a better home for our family. I was learning more than I ever imagined — not just about therapy, but about healing as a way of life. And in that learning, I found my own healing.

What I didn’t know at the time was that in May of 2023, my husband would be injured and become disabled. This practice would become our primary source of support — the thing that held our family through an entirely new chapter. What once felt like a dream became a calling. A lifeline.

Starting my private practice wasn’t easy either. There’s no manual that walks you through it step by step. You figure it out as you go. Navigating insurance, building systems, making mistakes and learning from them — it was a crash course in business and trust.

But I found my rhythm. I trusted my vision. And I’m grateful to say my practice was successful from the very beginning.

Of course I’m still learning. I’m still evolving. But what I know for sure is this. The road may not have been smooth, but it was meaningful. And it led me right here.

As you know, we’re big fans of Enlightened Counseling Services. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Enlightened Counseling Services, we believe that every individual matters.

We’re a trauma-informed therapy practice located in St. George, Utah, offering individual therapy as well as family and marriage counseling. We’re known for creating a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where healing feels possible — even for those who have felt misunderstood, overwhelmed, or overlooked in the past.

We specialize in working with trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, life transitions, faith transitions, identity exploration, and relational healing. Every session is guided by compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for your unique story.

What sets us apart is our culture of connection. Clients often tell us, “I’ve never felt this seen or accepted before.” That means everything to us. This isn’t about fixing people — it’s about walking with them, honoring their wholeness, and helping them reconnect to their own power.

We’re proud of the space we’ve created. One where clients feel safe to bring their full selves. One where therapists feel supported to grow. One where healing doesn’t have to look a certain way — because we know it’s different for everyone.

We believe in creating a space where people feel like they belong.

If you’re looking for therapy that’s both deeply supportive and radically human, we’d love to meet you.

And for women ready to take their healing further — into identity, empowerment, business, or purpose — I also offer coaching and group programs under Saskia Stallings. It’s a beautiful next step for those wanting to expand beyond the clinical space and explore what’s possible when you reclaim your voice, energy, and power.

How do you think about happiness?
So many things bring me joy, but at the heart of it all, it’s connection.

I love spending time with my family. My children bring me immense joy, and being a grandmother to five incredible little souls is one of my greatest things ever. I’m happiest when I’m with the people I love, sharing stories, laughter, and simple, meaningful moments.

Travel also lights me up. Experiencing new places and cultures reminds me how expansive life is, and how much there is to learn — and I truly love learning. Whether it’s through a book, a conversation, or a new experience, growth makes me feel alive.

I’m a people person at my core. I love meaningful conversations, being in community, and creating space for others to be fully themselves.

And while I don’t go nearly enough, concerts make me so happy. There’s just something about live music, a good crowd, and the energy of it all, it fills me up in the best way.

Joy, for me, is found in connection, in presence, and in the everyday magic of life.
