Hi Shuangyi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am Midu Yang, the sole special correspondent in the US for Baidu, China’s largest search engine. As the CEO of Xingliao Company, I was invited to the Angel Dinner hosted by former Google Vice President Kai-Fu Lee, where I secured angel funding. My entrepreneurial projects have been selected for the China Brand Innovation Development Project and have been featured on the NASDAQ screen in New York. With tens of thousands of followers across the internet, I am currently the largest KOL social media influencer in Chicago and the Midwestern United States. I have successfully started four businesses, am fluent in multiple languages, and have traveled to 60 countries. As an entertainment and sports journalist, I have interviewed hundreds of international stars, Asia-Pacific youth leaders, G20 youth leaders, and have been a speaker at the annual TedxQiantan conference. I serve as the China Ambassador to India for the Greenway China International Volunteer Organization, the 611 Autism Ambassador in China, and a UN NGO representative for China.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The integration of diverse cultures and the social status of Asians in America, along with the opportunities for globalization and the challenges of various professions, are significant topics. As a public figure, I also face certain societal pressures.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a 90s-born Chinese woman, I have successfully started four businesses and hold numerous titles. I am a well-known social media influencer in North America and an entertainment and sports journalist who has interviewed hundreds of international stars. Additionally, I am the largest Chinese blogger in Chicago, as well as a model and actress.
