Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Hardie.
Hi Tyler, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
RAVERAIDE came to be as a perfect melding of previous experience and near tragedy when I was at EDC in 2019.
We were near the tail end of the weekend, at 5 AM on Sunday. We were in a house with 50 people, some old and new friends. A newer friend that I had met that weekend was with me at the final set and we decided to go up to the rail.
Due to high stimulation and her water pack breaking, my friend did not keep up with her hydration and I remember it like it was yesterday.
There was a friend between us and I remember looking at her, then looking up at the stage, and it was super bright and over-stimulating. I turn back to my left and she was gone. This all happened within 4-5 seconds. I was super confused and when I turned around to look for her, I saw her boots up in the air as she was locked up, convulsing and having a seizure.
Everyone around was in a state of panic and didn’t know what to do. She was in it for well over a minute and I did what I could to make sure that she was safe and not harming herself while convulsing.
After a minute or two, she came back to consciousness and didn’t have any orientation to reality. The paramedics arrived and pushed me away from her, which caused her to become visibly more anxious as she was surrounded by a bunch of people she did not know.
The paramedics had started talking with her and we were able to get her up and back to the med tent. She ended up being ok and was able to walk out of the event under her power.
Fast forward a year, and I was in Michigan working in the life insurance space. I had just left a job where I was selling high-end supplements to people over the phone. Feeling incredibly unfulfilled, I knew that I needed to be doing something different with my life.
I pondered and asked why it happened. I do not believe in coincidences and have had enough experiences in my life to know that there is a deeper meaning in all things and even in near tragedy, we can find a purpose and silver lining in all we experience. One day, when I was driving back from Detroit, this idea hit me. As if it were a pure download from a higher source of intelligence.
A hydration supplement intended for people who go to music festivals would essentially reduce the risk of medical-related incidents because I know that what my friend and I experienced happens more often than festival promoters would like to admit. And I knew that if it could stop just one medical-related event that it would be worth pursuing.
I didn’t sleep for two days. My mind was racing and all of these ideas of possibilities came to mind. I called my closest friends in Utah and asked them what they thought about the idea. With overwhelming support, all of my friends told me to pursue it. Many of them are the other founders of the company.
Amidst hundreds and hundreds of hours of trial and error, we realized that what the basic supplement industry had to offer in regard to formulation was a contributor to many of the issues we have on this planet – meaning that as we dug deeper and deeper we realized that most supplements contain harmful ingredients (Natural Flavors, Artificial Flavors, Dyes, Fillers, etc…) that we could not stand behind at RAVERAIDE.
After a frustrating meeting with a supplement manufacturer in Utah, I was driving home and kept saying to myself, “There has to be a better way, there has to be a better way.” Mind you, we were less than 10 weeks out from our first event in which we offered to donate 10,000 sticks of RAVERAIDE for our friends’ event (Singularity Music Festival held by Mutiny Music Collective in Utah)
That same voice or intuition some would call told me to go to a local apothecary to purchase some herbs for my health. At that time, I met my now business partner and one of my best friends, Jake Henderson (Entheosextractions.com) and we began to talk and get to know one another. After discovering many similar parallels and enjoyment for music, Jake revealed that he was an organic chemist and alchemist. I told him what I was doing with RAVERAIDE and he agreed to help formulate and create with us.
After taking much risk, and self-funding the business by selling my Home, Car, and other valuable possessions, two years later we released two flavors (Lemonade and Super Berry) using only the highest quality ingredients, sourced from all over the planet. We DO NOT use Natural Flavors, Artificial Flavors/Dyes/Sweeteners, or any other ingredients that can be linked to the degradation of one’s health and well-being.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been innumerable errors and lessons learned along the way.
This was my first business and to be honest, I knew nothing. I had no contacts, minimal resources, and a bunch of desires and feeling that this was my life’s purpose. It gave me something greater than myself to pursue and truthfully has pulled me through the darkness and depression that was my life prior.
RAVERAIDE has been my self-development course. It’s required me to become a better man in all ways, shapes, and forms. It’s forced me to break down my self-imposed limitations and rise to the occasion in numerous instances. The true value of all that has been built here is the amount of healing and growth that has transpired in me, the other founders of RAVERAIDE, and how we exist now vs. how we were before taking this mission on.
I’ve bet everything on this dream. I had a very comfortable life. By all standards, I was living a dream. Great home, a nice car, and a great job… and I was still unfulfilled. I sold it all and went all in on this and the person that this has allowed me to evolve into is worth more than a million of what I, “Gave up” in return.
I owe my life to what I’m creating with my family because it has given me the purpose that I was seeking for years.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
After realizing quickly that the generalized supplement industry is very fraudulent in its claims and cares for the people who flood into the space looking for things that would benefit their health, we saw that we had to get very creative in how we created our products.
