Hi Veronica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story doesn’t begin in a boardroom. It begins at a swap meet in Los Angeles, selling clothes every weekend, learning the hustle from the ground up.
I immigrated from Mexico to the United States in 1998 at 22 years old. I didn’t wait for an opportunity — I created one. I started selling clothes at the swap meet on weekends, and during the week I worked in the famous Alleys in Downtown LA, one of the most competitive fashion markets in the country. I was absorbing everything — how business worked, how people bought, how money moved.
Then I saved enough to buy a van. I kept selling, but now I drove to meet my customers wherever they were. Mobile. Resourceful. Unstoppable.
Then came my first store — Rags 2 Riches — a wholesale and retail clothing store right in the Alley in Downtown LA. I wasn’t just selling anymore. I was building. I hired my first employee. I bought a trailer and sold hot dogs, sodas, and snacks in Downtown LA. I was running multiple income streams before I even knew what that phrase meant.
My clients were international buyers. Business was thriving. And then — September 11, 2001 changed everything. The foot traffic disappeared overnight. International buyers stopped coming. I fought to keep it alive, but eventually I had to close Rags 2 Riches.
Most people would have stopped there. I used it as fuel.
I rebuilt — this time in financial services. I launched National Credit Repair / VXCredit / 800 Plus Club, helping everyday people fix their credit and access the funding they deserved. Then came Multiservices by Veronica Xolalpa — real estate, notary, immigration, tax, and business credit consulting — serving communities that needed a trusted guide in a system that wasn’t designed for them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not — and I’m grateful for every obstacle.
Immigrating at 22, starting from a swap meet table, surviving the collapse of my first business after 9/11, rebuilding from a physical office to a fully digital brand in Utah, navigating language barriers, cultural expectations, and the constant pressure of being underestimated as an immigrant Latina entrepreneur — none of it was easy. There were moments I questioned everything.
But my daily Kabbalah meditation practice keeps me grounded and connected to something greater than any obstacle. And then there is Jon — my husband, a proud U.S. veteran, my business partner, and my greatest love. Our relationship itself is a story of two worlds becoming one. We are an interracial, intercultural couple who chose each other — and in doing so, we discovered that the most powerful thing two people can build is not just a business, but a shared vision that bridges cultures, backgrounds, and generations.
That love story is what gave birth to everything we do together today.❤✨💫
