Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started working at a Hedge Fund in New York city. I did internal travel for the employees. I have always had a passion for leisure travel. I would travel on the weekends and any time off. I started negotiating hotel rates with New York City Hotels for employees coming in for meetings. It was then that I realized I could turn this into a full-time job. I kept many of my Hedge Fund Clients and started my own travel company AsTravelpro!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, obviously, COVID was the hardest struggle…when travel came to a stop and people had fears, I did as well. But I knew it would bounce back. I took the downtime to read and learn. But I also worked endlessly on getting clients refunds and credits for future trips. Now travel is back with full revenge.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I advise clients on booking a wide variety of travel to top destinations all over the world. I tap into years of experience and partner with properties and service providers in every location to curate itineraries perfectly fit for each of my clients.
I know that there are virtually endless travel options to choose from. With grand openings and renovations of more established properties taking place worldwide, it can be difficult to narrow down the best options for your trip. I am constantly researching and touring properties to stay informed and provide the best guidance to my clients.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think it will only continue to boom and grow. It is a huge industry that will continue to explode.
