Rising Stars: Meet Amber Schiffman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Schiffman.

Hi Amber, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Foot zone therapy has been a part of my life since birth. My mom utilized foot zone therapy to help her body carry me and my two sisters full term, after experiencing 6 miscarriages. I was also born with fuzed vertebrae in my neck that doctors thought would stop me from doing most things but my parents wanted to try foot zoning and see if it would help. With the help of foot zoning and massage therapy, my body responded really well and I have been able to dance my entire life! Foot zoning did so much for my family that I was actually named after my mother’s practitioner, Amber Jensen. I have since been mentored and taught by Amber Jensen and Sharla Pearce from Wellness Life Zone in Sandy, UT for foot zone therapy. I have been doing it as my job for the past two years and loving every minute of it!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I heavily struggled with imposter syndrome for the first year of doing this work and owning my own business. I went through the whole certification process, learned so much but I had deep-rooted doubt in myself. Thankfully, I have had mentors like Sharee House that have been a huge help in reminding me that I am capable!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a certified foot zone practitioner! Foot zoning is acupressure on the feet. We have a map on our feet of all of our organs and systems. When we apply pressure to specific parts of the feet, our body begins to heal itself through signals being sent through the nerve endings.

I am proud of my ability to use foot zoning as a tool to help others heal. This job is so fulfilling and I have so much gratitude for all of the people I have met in these past two years.

I have red light therapy included with every foot zoning session to help with recovery, mood, and other benefits. I truly love what I do and I know my clients feel that!

I have so many positive experiences with foot zoning helping me and my family. I know those personal experiences help my clients to trust and allow the foot zone to get to work!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My favorite childhood memory is probably the pool parties we would have with my dance family in the summers. We would have practices all morning on Saturdays then come to our house and swim until we couldn’t anymore! Overall, dancing at my mom’s dance studio The Pointe Academy, was such a happy time for me!
