Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Willardson
Hi Caitlin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Caitlin fell in love with the wedding industry in 2016 when she start planning her own wedding. During the planning process with her wedding venue she received a job position as a wedding hostess she then went on to be the assistant director at that same venue, Sleepy Ridge. During this time Caitlin was attending cosmetology school. After a big state move to Texas, Caitlin found a job in a wedding dress boutique. Here she continued to fall more in love with bridal clientele.
After moving home in 2018 Caitlin began using her cosmetology background and love for the industry to begin her own business journey. She worked alongside incredible women who boosted her and who she learned immensely from.
Fast forward to today, Caitlin is growing her company. Together they are able to services hundreds of clients a year. They value and love their brides just like your best friend. Your wedding is incredibly important to them. To be a part of such special day is an incredible honor that we enjoy and love. With our wedding industry background and years of experience we have developed long lasting tips and tricks custom for each of our brides.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Just like any business journey there are so many learning experiences. In the beginning there were no contracts, too much over promising causing burnout, and falling into work relationships that were not in our best interest. Each experience we learned from, help us and our clients to have a wonderful experience with backing and substance. It helped in learning to grow a team and how to treat the people you work with and love. Ensuring a wonderful experience for our clients. Lastly protecting us from business abuse. We have overcome a lot and still love the process.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Caitlin is known for customizing her looks to fit exactly what each client wants/needs. She is particularly skilled at natural makeup looks, classic hairstyles, and long lasting services. For Caitlin, your wedding look should have no agenda, of course we offer guidance but your look should be exactly what YOU want. She is also very talented at reading body language and emotions. This is a special skill to have on the morning of your wedding to help calm nerves or pump you up. Regardless, she is here to help you feel your most calm and beautiful.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The list is endless! Caitlin got her start from Judy at Sleepy Ridge. Once entering the beauty side of weddings, Caitlin began working with Katina (Formerly Makeup by Katina now Empire Beauty) on weddings of hers. They were a hair and makeup powerhouse for quite sometime! The start of this beautiful career is undoubtedly owed to her. Caitlin received her push to add makeup as a service from the amazing Lesley Lind.
Business wise Caitlin has had a huge jump and it is owed to Hope with Elevated Boudior. Hope has helped put a solid process in place, helped automate systems, and most importantly given Caitlin inspiration to be and do things she never imagined. Her partner Keenan with Balloon Artisan has also share so many wonderful perspectives and outlooks and helped to realize how amazing this business really is.
Lastly, Caitlins number one supporter is her husband Matt. He has been there through the tears, the wins, and everything in between. He’s a rock and the place Caitlin goes after the good and the bad.
The list goes on and on and Caitlin is eternally grateful to every person in her path that helped her grow and progress.
