Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Lycan.
Hi Caleb, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hey, I’m Caleb Lycan. Honestly, it all started with just me being curious and passionate about creating whether it was music, being an athlete, or even just connecting with people. I’m from Utah, and over time I’ve been through a lot that’s shaped me.. some highs, some lows. But all of it made me stronger and more focused. I started making music because I needed an outlet. There were things I couldn’t really say out loud, but I could write them into songs. I dropped tracks like Want You, I love you, Lowlife, and Runaway, and each one told a different part of my story. Now, I’m working on my album ‘You (Volume 2.). It’s personal, raw, and real. Every song has meaning. I also do stuff on the creative side beyond music, being a soccer player, streaming, podcasting, designing content. But more than anything, I’m just a guy trying to stay real, grow, and put something meaningful into the world. Still writing my story In a diary every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road.. far from it, honestly. There’ve been a lot of challenges.. Whether that being mentally, emotionally, even physically. I’ve dealt with loss, pressure, heartbreak, and moments where I felt like giving up on everything I was working toward. There were nights I couldn’t sleep, days I questioned my worth, and times when I felt like I was fighting battles no one could see. Music helped me survive some of those moments.. With a guy who goes by the name of Myles Smith really put a HUGE impact on me with my music. So did soccer! it gave me discipline and something to grind for. And the people around me, my close friends, a few who really believed in me helped remind me that I’m not alone in it. All of those struggles became part of my story. They made me more real, more grounded, and more driven. I wouldn’t be who I am without them.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
first and foremost. I make music that’s real.. stuff that comes straight from what I’ve lived through, felt, and learned. I specialize in storytelling through lyrics. Every track I release has something personal behind it, whether it’s Want You, I Love You, Lowlife, or Runaway. I’m not trying to follow a trend. I’m just trying to speak truth people can connect with. Beyond music, I also stream, podcast, and design content. I like being hands on in every part of the creative process. I’m also an athlete, a soccer player, and I bring that same discipline and passion into everything I do. What sets me apart is my honesty. I’m not afraid to be vulnerable. I’m proud that people hear my songs and feel seen like they’re not the only ones going through it. That means everything to me. I’m not in this for clout. I’m in it to make impact.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years I see the industry shifting hard toward independence and authenticity. The way things are going, you don’t need a label or huge budget to make an impact. You just need something real to say and the work ethic to back it up. Platforms are giving more power to artists, and that’s opening the door for more creative freedom. I think people are craving connection. They want real stories, and raw emotion not just catchy hooks. That’s the direction I see it heading. I also think creators are becoming more than just one thing.. we’re building our own lanes. I’m not just an artist, I’m a storyteller, a soccer player, a streamer, a content creator… and all of that connects. It’s all evolving fast, and I’m here for it. I’m not trying to keep up but I am trying to help shape it.
