Rising Stars: Meet Caroline Langdon

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Langdon.

Caroline Langdon

Hi Caroline, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ever since I was young, I loved playing business owner. I’d create clubs for my siblings and even started “Caroline’s Culinary Creations” at age 12, where I sold Oreo cookie balls and brownie bites to neighborhood and church friends. The entrepreneurial bug got me a few other ways in college through photography, starting a blog, a few Etsy shops, and a short term rental management business. (Spoiler alert: not all ventures were profitable, but the experiences were priceless!)

A few years later, I was getting my masters to be a speech pathologist. During this time, I was nannying on the side for a family in Utah. Little did I know the mom was getting bigger on Instagram and needed some backend help – so during the kid’s nap times, I would help answer DMs and other small tasks. These tasks grew to Pinterest management and other social media tasks. After a year, I realized we saw incredible growth, I loved it, it came naturally to me – so I dove head first and launched “Impact Media House” August 2022, our social media agency.

I learned so much that year and watched every YouTube video, listened to every podcast, bought courses, and got hands-on experience to learn the craft. That, paired with some non-stop determination to learn and grow is what helped get me where I’m at today!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
You always hear the quote, “I didn’t like my 9-5, so I decided to start a business, and now I work 24/7.” That’s been one of the hardest parts of this journey: learning to set boundaries and step away from the work – because the work truly is never finished!

Hiring and firing is another area that was new to me. We have a team of 12 at Impact Media, and refining our training process and team has been a work in progress. As someone who hates conflict, I’ve learned a lot in this area!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Of course! I’m Caroline, the founder and lead strategist at Impact Media House, a boutique social media agency. With a focus on social media strategy and management, we blend creativity and intentional personal touches to craft impactful digital narratives.

We’re most proud of our relationships with our clients and the personalized solutions we create for them, fostering growth and community engagement. Some other things we’re proud of are that we had a client just hit 6M views on a reel, several clients were featured in large publications like Vogue and Forbes, and another client got a TV show on Hulu!

We’re a little different with our joyful and community-focused approach. We’re known for producing magnetic content while also nurturing genuine connections and community– both online and IRL.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Salt Lake City is such an incredible hub for entrepreneurs!

There are always things to do and opportunities to pursue. It feels like a tight-knit family in many ways. Also, the mountain views and incredible skiing are huge bonuses. Currently, my least favorite thing about SLC is the home prices, but what can you do?
