Rising Stars: Meet Cheyenne Oldroyd of Saint George, Utah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyenne Oldroyd.

Hi Cheyenne, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey into Human Design and sound healing began while I was enrolled in yoga teacher training. That experience opened my eyes to the power of self-connection and living from a more spiritual, holistic perspective. Everything I practice today was magnetized into my life at the exact moment I needed it—true to my Manifesting Generator nature in Human Design.

I remember the first time I experienced sound bowls in a class. The vibration moved through me in such a visceral way that I knew I had to get my own set. Similarly, when I discovered Human Design, it felt like a mirror—finally, I could see myself in a new, deeply affirming light. Since then, I’ve devoted myself to learning, embodying, and sharing these tools to help others reconnect with their own inner guidance.

Before stepping into this work, I began my career as a Master Aesthetician. I studied at an Ayurvedic skin institute, where I was introduced to the mind-body connection and how imbalance in one area of life can show up in the skin, our largest organ. I’ve been in the aesthetics field for nearly a decade now, and my work has naturally evolved from skin-deep care into soul-deep healing.

The defining moment for me wasn’t just one breakthrough—it was the consistent, magnetic pull I felt toward these modalities. They lit me up in a way that made it clear this was my path. By following my Sacral Authority and Strategy to respond, I’ve allowed my intuition to lead me moment by moment on this evolutionary path.

I named my business My Cosmic Essence because I believe that each of us carries a unique energetic signature that’s meant to be expressed and shared with the world. It reflects our authenticity, our connection to something greater than ourselves, and even hints at the cosmic imprints from the planetary alignments at the time of our birth.

Personally, this journey has helped me cultivate more ease, clarity, and trust in my life. I no longer feel the need to force or control—when I tune into my own energy, the right people, opportunities, and synchronicities appear. It’s allowed me to take aligned risks, embody my gifts, and live with a sense of confidence I never knew before.

I’ve completed certifications in Yoga and Human Design, and continue to study through books, podcasts, and personal experimentation. I’m a forever student—always learning and evolving.

Above all, I feel honored to share these tools with others. My mission is to show people that they don’t have to live by someone else’s rules. There’s a path that feels more like you—a life where decisions are made with confidence, relationships deepen, and your work becomes an expression of your essence. That’s what alignment feels like, and that’s the transformation My Cosmic Essence is here to support.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road, though I believe every challenge I’ve faced has served a purpose in helping me grow. One of the biggest hurdles has been learning to truly trust myself. For a long time, I was conditioned to make decisions based on logic, expectations, or what others thought was best. But the truth is, that only ever led to burnout and frustration. I reached points where I was trying to fit myself into boxes I had long outgrown and was sticking with paths or roles out of obligation instead of alignment.

Through Human Design, I began to understand that my energy is meant to respond and move in a way that feels alive, not forced. The learning curve was giving myself permission to trust my gut instincts over my mind; especially when the next step didn’t always “make sense” logically. That’s scary. It takes courage to go against what you’ve been taught, or what society deems as the “right” way. But I’ve learned that choosing your own happiness, even when it’s uncomfortable or uncertain, is not selfish, it’s self-honoring.

These lessons are ongoing. I still meet resistance when I don’t follow my inner knowing, but now I catch it sooner. I’ve developed a much deeper level of self-awareness, and I continue to use Human Design as a daily tool to support that connection. It’s what helps me navigate life from a place of alignment rather than pressure or fear.

While the path hasn’t been linear or easy, it’s been incredibly rewarding. Every challenge has brought me closer to the truth of who I am, and that’s what I now help others discover within themselves.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the founder of My Cosmic Essence, where I offer Human Design readings, sound healing experiences, and intuitive guidance to help people reconnect with their true selves and live in alignment with their unique energy. My work blends the spiritual with the practical, helping clients not only understand themselves on a deeper level, but also apply what they learn in real, tangible ways, whether it’s navigating relationships, career choices, or everyday decision-making.

I specialize in Human Design as a tool for self-remembrance. It’s not about putting you into another box, it’s about giving you permission to break out of all the ones you’ve been placed in. I hold space for people to see their authentic nature clearly, and to feel empowered by it. I also offer sound baths, which are designed to soothe the nervous system and open the heart. Sound healing has been a beautiful complement to Human Design, allowing people to shift energetically while they integrate what they’re learning.

I think what sets me apart is the intuitive, personalized way I approach this work. I don’t just read charts or play instruments—I guide people through a deeper experience of themselves. My background as a Master Aesthetician, along with my yoga and Ayurvedic training, brings a mind-body-spirit awareness to everything I do. I meet people where they are, and I honor the pace that feels right for them.

What I’m most proud of is creating a space where people feel seen, safe, and inspired to embrace their cosmic essence, unapologetically. There’s something magical that happens when someone realizes they don’t have to try so hard to be someone else. I’ve watched people come alive in their authenticity, and that’s the heart of why I do this work.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My biggest piece of advice is to stay open and follow what lights you up. The right people will naturally come into your life when you’re living in alignment with your energy. I’ve found that when I try to “force” networking or seek out mentors from a place of pressure or comparison, it doesn’t feel good, and it rarely leads anywhere meaningful. But when I focus on my own growth, follow my curiosity, and show up authentically, I tend to attract the exact support, opportunities, and people I need at the right time.

Some of my most aligned connections have come from simply being in the spaces and communities that feel expansive to me, whether it’s a training, a class, or even a local event. I’ve learned that mentorship doesn’t always have to look like a formal relationship, either. Sometimes the best mentors are people whose work you admire from afar, whose words resonate, or whose journey inspires you to stay true to your own.

Trust your energy. Let your intuition guide you toward people who feel grounded, genuine, and aligned with your values. You don’t need to chase connection, just keep showing up as yourself, and the right relationships will find you.
