Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra Madill.
Hi Cierra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support from my family and friends. I’m a mama to 3 and 2 fur babies. My partner and I love going on adventures, traveling and finding new restaurants along the way. You can always find us binge watching Law and Order or taking the kids to the park.
My kids put up with all my photo ideas and model for me ( with many bribes for ice cream 😅 ) my partner is so supportive and encourages me everyday!
My best friend Brookelyn has not only been a good friend and support but has boosted my business 10 fold. She has helped me with marketing, modeling, scheduling and website design. My business wouldn’t be what it is without her. She does HMUA work and I love that we get to work along side each other for weddings so often.
I started doing family and senior portraiture 11 years ago. I take pride in my work and strive to provide not only good customer service but a long term relationship with my clients.
I enjoy meeting new people and providing physical memories they’ll be able to look back on forever.
In 2021 I transitioned over to weddings and I quickly fell in love. While wedding photography can be stressful, I wouldn’t trade my job for anything!
Wedding days are so happy! My favorite part is getting to experience what’s most important to people on their big day. Every wedding is so unique and different and it’s amazing to see how couples celebrate their love for one another.
I travel all over the US for weddings! In 2024 I traveled to 12 different states to shoot. In 2025 I’m hoping to add a few more states to the list!
I strive to showcase candid and raw emotions of your wedding day. The little moments that might otherwise have been forgotten. The happy tears, the sad tears and everything in between.
I look forward to many more weddings and continuing to provide a high quality experience to all my clients!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been anything but a smooth road; I wouldn’t change the journey for anything because I have learned so much about not only building and running a business, but my values and who I really am as a person.
I am a huge advocate for mental health and diversity.
Towards the end of 2024 I let my mental health crash and ended up taking a 4 month step back from my business. I ended up in a mental health rehab. It was hard. It was scary. It was honestly exhausting. However, It was the best thing I could’ve done for myself, my family and my business. I learned SO MUCH and gained so much self awareness and strength.
My only regret is not seeking mental health help sooner. I let myself get burnt out and I bent my limits till I broke.
Owning a business ontop of being a partner, a mom, a friend and everything else life demands me to be is HARD. It can be overwhelming at times but I still love every second of it!
