Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Beck.
Jason, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I originally started back in November 1996 when I cast my very first vote for proposition 215 creating medical marijuana in the state of California. I later got a store in San Francisco back in 2001 and I’m presently the longest continuous retailer operator of cannabis in the united states of America I use all of my expertise in cannabis to host my daily cannabis news show known as high at nine news. Which is now America’s number one daily cannabis new show. We are on Monday through Friday 9 AM Pacific high noon on the East Coast on YouTube.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been numerous struggles along the way, whether it be getting raided by the DEA numerous times, or fighting the state board of equalization, or any other government agency that we have had to educate and show how to work with us in creating an industry based around the sale of a federally illegal substance. And not to mention the different neighborhood groups that we had to work with in the beginning to help neighbors understand exactly what we were doing, and that we were providing a value add to the community as opposed to adding to crime or being a neighborhood nuisance, so per se , but with all things in life, anything worth fighting for is going to come with struggles and anything worth fighting for is always definitely worth it in the long run as long as you remember to always keep fighting for what you believe in and never give up
