Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Stockberger.
Lisa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Honestly, it all started because I’ve always loved creating beautiful spaces and designing pieces that bring people joy and make special moments even more memorable. What began as making décor for friends and family quickly grew when people started asking if they could order pieces for their own celebrations.
That’s how The Social Crush Design Studio was born—signage, décor, and gifts that transform events into unforgettable moments, leaving guests absolutely CRUSHING over every detail.
I started small, working from home, experimenting with designs, and learning the ins and outs of customization. Over time, my offerings have grown to include personalized centerpieces, event signage, and keepsakes for weddings, graduations, birthdays, and more.
I’m in the early stages of building my business, and it’s very much a work in progress, but each order brings me closer to building a brand that helps people celebrate life’s biggest moments in a way that feels personal and unforgettable.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road—I’m still very new at this, and it’s absolutely a work in progress. Starting a creative business has meant figuring things out as I go—everything from sourcing materials to streamlining orders to learning the best ways to market my products. There have been challenges with trial and error, plus the normal growing pains of starting something from scratch.
But I see each challenge as part of the journey. Every order teaches me something new, and I truly learn something every single day. Each step forward makes The Social Crush Design Studio stronger. I’m still building, still learning, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At The Social Crush Design Studio, I create personalized event décor that’s designed to make celebrations feel special and memorable. I specialize in custom centerpieces, signage, and keepsakes—pieces that are tailored for weddings, graduations, birthdays, baby showers, and more.
I’m most proud of how personal each order is. Every design is made to reflect someone’s story, style, and occasion. My favorite part is when a client sees their finished piece and it perfectly captures the vibe they envisioned.
What sets me apart is the level of customization and care that goes into every project. Since I’m still a small, growing business, every order gets my full attention from start to finish. I think that personal touch and flexibility are what make my designs unique.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, I see the event décor and personalized gifting industry evolving to become even more experience-driven and tech-integrated. Customers are increasingly seeking unique, customized elements that make their social gatherings stand out and feel truly personal. The demand for bespoke signage, décor, and gifts that tell a story or create an immersive atmosphere will continue to grow.
Additionally, social media’s influence will keep shaping trends, pushing businesses like mine to create visually striking, “Instagrammable” moments that guests want to share. This means design studios will need to be more innovative and quick to adapt to changing aesthetics and cultural moments.
Overall, I believe the industry will move toward deeper personalization and creativity, focusing on crafting meaningful, memorable experiences — which is exactly what The Social Crush Design Studio is all about.
