Rising Stars: Meet Riley Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Riley Worth.

Hi Riley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Riley Worth and I am originally from Newport Beach, California. My journey started by getting my degree in Pre Med Biology and wanting to go to Medical School to pursue Plastic Surgery. I deep down wanted to be a Plastic Surgeon so badly in order to help my insecurity of not being good enough or smart enough and I soon realized medical school wasn’t my path. I needed to believe in myself more and follow a better path for myself. I instead got into nursing school in Utah to get another bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. My ultimate goal was to be in the field of aesthetics. I pushed myself so hard to be the best I could be and now have been an Aesthetic Injector for almost 5 years! I am also a National trainer for Allergan Aesthetics, and I will be a Nurse Practitioner in February 2023! I have always been wanting to pursue my dreams and although it took me a minute to find myself and believe in myself. I am now living a better dream than I ever thought was possible and believe more in myself! I continue to strive to be better and do better!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My road, as previously mentioned was rough mostly because I was holding myself back with the lack of confidence. It makes me teary-eyed even writing this. I struggled in college. I didn’t want to disappoint my family and friends for not being a Doctor. I wanted this title to prove to myself and everyone that I was in fact smart. I didn’t feel deep down that I was smart enough. Although I did get accepted into medical school, it made me realize it wasn’t for me and I declined the acceptance. I needed to take a year to build inner peace and acceptance of me and who I was before making decisions. Once I gained that confidence with mental and emotional strength, it was all clear to me that nursing school and aesthetics was my path.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an aesthetic injector and I specialize in facial rejuvenation using botox, fillers, collagen stimulators, and more. I help people retain their natural beauty and gain more self-confidence in themselves. I feel like this industry was made for me. I love it, I work hard to be the best I can be, and give the best patient results. I am never satisfied with the amount of education I have because I feel like I can continue to learn and be better for me and my patients. I work hard to be the best. I educate people about the importance of taking care of their skin.

What were you like growing up?
I have always been very dedicated, driven, and stubborn! I have always been my own worst critic, but mostly to help me grow and be better. You never can grow when you are comfortable. I constantly make myself uncomfortable to be able to be the best I can possibly be!
