Today we’d like to introduce you to Viviana Becerra.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from Chile and came to this country when I was 16 years old. I was the first member of our family of 4 to start working. All my money went to my parents to help pay for food and rent. Later on with a lot of sacrifices, I decided to go to college and get my bachelor’s degree in business administration. I never really knew what career I wanted to be in, all I knew is that I wanted to be my boss one day.
I started my own cleaning business where I and some family members also worked. I’m now 37 years old and decided to go to school to become an esthetician and focus on men’s skincare. I started to care for my skin and fell in love with how our skin can react with special care. Our skin is the biggest human organ and we only have one. I enjoy pampering and caring for my skin.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing is ever smooth, we always bump into walls along the way which makes us appreciate things even more.
Because we know how hard it is to overcome them.
Struggles I would say were the loan I had to take to go to school, not working while going to school, studying late at night for tests, etc.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in men’s skin care. I love skincare and everything involved. I make their skincare experience very relaxing and pampering. I’m very proud of every step I take every day. I live one day at a time and make the best of it. I’m still learning and I continue to improve.
I believe what sets me apart from others is that men now have a place they can go to and feel pampered after a hard working day. Being there for them and offering a service they know they will enjoy and trust.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
To never give up, and to continue to find ways to improve. To be different from others and to offer exceptional customer service. It is important to be humble and genuine.
