Rising Stars: Meet Zady Ramos of Salt Lake City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zady Ramos

Hi Zady, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in Utah, I was lucky to be surrounded by its beautiful landscapes, which sparked my love for art at a young age. Drawing, painting, and sketching quickly became my go-to outlets—they helped me relax, lifted my mood, and gave me something to be proud of. Along with art, cars were a huge part of my childhood. I was obsessed with car movies, shows, and games, and I’d spend hours sketching my favorite cars. My dad, who shared my love for art and cars, was my biggest role model. He taught me everything I needed to know.

In high school, I realized art could actually be a career. That was a game-changer. I got my first laptop, taught myself photo editing softwares, and started designing logos for just about anything I could think of. Taking a few Graphic Design classes sealed the deal, and I knew this was the path for me.

In college, I discovered another passion—photography. I’d always loved taking pictures, but it wasn’t until I got my first camera in 2021 that everything clicked. I started taking my camera everywhere—on trips, to car shows, and pretty much anywhere I went. I fell in love with capturing moments, and to my surprise, people really liked my work. That turned into a photography business where I’ve been lucky enough to work with local brands like 80eighty, UMC, Duke Aviation, Luxe Automotive, and even national brands such as Porsche, Infiniti, and PASMAG. Meeting so many amazing clients and creators has been a huge highlight of my journey.

After finishing my Graphic Design degree at SLCC, I kept building my photography business while diving into social media management. Now I manage social media for Duke Aviation, Luxe Automotive, and AeroKraft Aviation. It’s the perfect mix—I get to take photos all day, work on designs, and create content I’m genuinely excited about. It’s been an awesome ride so far, and I’m so grateful for everything that got me here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey so far has been a steady climb, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. In the beginning, my business grew slowly, but that actually gave me a chance to focus on my skills and figure out what I wanted to be known for before jumping into bigger things. It wasn’t fast progress, but it was steady, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Looking back, I’m glad things didn’t take off right away because it gave me time to really understand what I was doing and build confidence along the way. Every project taught me something new, and that slow but steady growth has helped me feel grounded. It’s taken time, but I know I’m moving in the right direction, and each step has made me better at what I do.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a professional automotive and aviation photographer and designer with a love for creating unique, visually striking content. Over the years, my work has been featured internationally, and I’ve had the chance to collaborate with some amazing automotive brands and clients. When it comes to aviation, most of my projects are for a specific business, but I still make sure to bring plenty of creativity into every shot. I’m probably best known for my Lowrider photography, which has led to a few exciting collaborations with Lowrider magazine through Instagram.

What I’m most proud of is having a portfolio that speaks for itself—when I meet new people, there’s a good chance they’ve already seen my work or heard my name, and that’s an incredible feeling. I believe my unique take on color sets my photography apart. Instead of sticking to one “signature” style, I think every moment deserves its own look and feel, and I keep my work clean and simple to let each subject stand out.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my absolute favorite memories from childhood was helping my dad build his car. It was a one-of-a-kind experience, something I can’t imagine sharing with anyone else in quite the same way. Those moments with him taught me so much, and they’re memories I’ll always hold close.
