Today we’d like to introduce you to Munira Alarbid.
Munira, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born and raised in Venezuela, and I moved to this country six years ago. Since I came here, I had different jobs and then I started working in an Office of Accounting. I was very receptive to the clients. Then I quit and had a different job, but with the Tax season coming, many clients from that Office looked for me on my social media asking where I was and if I was doing the same thing, because they wanted me to do their Taxes. At that time, I wasn’t doing anything similar, but I decided to do it part-time, and that’s how I started; until I register my business, get all my licenses, and permits and today I can say that I am a Bookkeeper, Payroll Admin, Tax Specialist, Immigration Form Specialist and Notary in the State of Utah. My business today has given me the freedom that I have always looked for and at the same time being a full-time mom.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I can’t say struggle, but I can tell you that being the owner and blaming myself sometimes because I know I can do it better and there is ALWAYS a better way to do the job.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do Bookkeeping and Payroll for Small Businesses. I am also a Tax Specialist, Immigration Form Specialist, Notary in the State of Utah and more. My friends know me as the Tax Couch, they trust me, and they let me do their processes. I am proud of what I have become, what I approach and everything I have accomplished in a short time not only as a Tax Preparer or Bookkeeper, but as the woman I am today, the mother, the wife, the sister and the friend
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Learn, study, get your licenses, invest in education, and start on social media, it doesn’t matter if you have 5 – 10 followers, start talking and share it in your personal social media. START, and if you want to register your business, call me, haha!
