Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Webb.
Josh, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After immigrating to the United States from Canada in 2022, I decided to start Statehouse Painting. I began painting at the age of 15 working as an apprentice to classically trained professional painters from the UK.
They taught me the basics as well as old and (considered outdated) techniques in wood finishing, antique restoration; lath and plaster repair.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life isn’t a smooth road and struggles have come up, but it’s all on the way to the top of mountainZ
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I own Statehouse Painting company, Utah’s Premier boutique painting service. We specialize in paint and wood finishing for people who know the difference.
I am most proud of being able to serve the citizens of Utah and providing the highest quality service.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
If you’re starting out in this business all I can say is keep your attitude in check. Don’t be afraid to learn something from everyone. Also, don’t measure yourself to other peoples success. Just because you’re down now, doesn’t mean you’ll stay there.
