Meet Elise Orozco of Spa Elise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elise Orozco

Hi Elise, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After the birth of my fourth and final child in the Spring of 2021, I was skeptical that my marriage was going to end. I had up until that point and for 7 consecutive years, been a full time stay at home mom. I had not finished my college education, and I was anxious about what I would do to make my own way. I began a Nail Technology Program less than 3 months after my baby was born, and 4 months later completed to program and received my license. Although I had traveled around town, speaking to local salons, I knew in my gut that I should work independently. I started with the tiniest nail desk you have ever seen, in a little corner in my basement. I have since converted an entire room and graduated to a large and spacious nail desk with a cozy chair for my clients. It was actually at nail school that I realized that I am much more interested in and passionate about skin! So, after a year of practicing as a nail tech, and as my husband at the time was preparing to move out of our house beginning the process of our separation and divorce- I started attending a Master Esthetician Program full time. From October 2023-October 2024, I was attending school full time, working as an independent nail tech, building my business, homeschooling my 3 youngest kids, and navigating a divorce all at once. To say that it stretched me beyond what I thought humanly possible is an understatement. Today, I am dual licensed as both a Nail Technician, and a Master Esthetician. I work independently and run my own business. I am also a college student, studying psychology to earn my degree to become a Licensed Therapist. I am in the midst of planning my very first women’s retreat this May! I am a single mom of four rambunctious little kids. I am an adventure athlete. I am a warrior. I consider myself a professional cheerleader for women! I hope to be able to reach, inspire, and motivate women everywhere who feel stuck-that they may know through my example that they can do anything.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It could not have been a rockier path. Working independently, and building your own business is not for the faint of heart. The struggles include loneliness, isolation, and even adversity from the people around you. There are many that discourage you from entrepreneurship and may even berate you for making that decision and it can be really lonely and painful. It also requires around the clock work- which requires you to be self motivated and to find joy in creativity, marketing, networking, and the behind the scenes of business. If it didn’t set my soul on fire, I wouldn’t do it. The uncertainty and inconsistent income requires patience and hope. Learning what it means to work smart instead of hard.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Spa Elise?
I am the owner of Spa Elise. First and foremost, my goal is to create an epic community of girls girls. A sisterhood, if you will. My clients are my best friends. I am an independent nail artist specializing in Luminary Overlays and Nail Art. I also do Esthetics offering facials, chemical peels, medical grade products, full body waxing, lash extensions, and make up artistry. I give a great therapeutic facial, natural looking classic lash extensions, and have been told that my brazilian wax is fairly painless! I consider myself different from other beauty professionals because I care less about selling my services and products- and care MOST about building women up. I am most proud of my ability to connect with my people. I’m not for everybody and everybody is not for me. I don’t try to appeal to the masses, and I don’t fight to hold onto clients that I’m not vibing with and I know aren’t vibing with me. I preach quality over quantity. I want quality connections. I’m building a community.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My father was an entrepreneur and provided a really great living for us growing up. He set the example for me. Although I do business very differently from him, I aspire to provide for my family what he provided for me. My mom is probably the only human on the planet who really sees me for who I actually am. Because of this, she has empowered me when I did not know who I was. My parents are my greatest strength, cheerleaders, and support. I would not be where I am today without them.
